Anthology Submissions

Whispering Angel Books is pleased to announce that we are now accepting submissions for our next anthology.

We are looking for uplifting and inspirational short stories, essays and poems about children and their positive influence on our lives.

There is a $5 (USD) non-refundable reading fee per story or for up to five poems. You may pay electronically via the "Add to Cart" PayPal button below. When using this option for multiple poems, please use a quantity of one (1) for one to five poems, two (2) for six to ten, etc. If the name on your PayPal account is different than the name on your submission, please notify us. If you live outside of the US, please use this option.

You may also pay by check, made payable to Whispering Angel Books. Please include the title of your piece and the date you emailed your submission to us. You should not include a hard copy of your submission. Our mailing address is: Whispering Angel Books, 7557 West Sand Lake Road #126, Orlando, FL 32836.

All submissions and payments must be received by 6p.m.EasternTime on April 30, 2012.

 

Submission Requirements:

A short story, personal essay, or poem.  Please title your entry.

Typed, written in English, and less than 1,500 words.

Submissions for our anthologies are accepted by email only and will not be returned. Mailed versions will not be considered. They can be attached in the following formats: .doc, docx, pdf, rtf or txt.. Stories and essays should be double-spaced. Poetry may be single spaced. You may also submit your entry in the body of your email.

Multiple and simultaneous submissions will be accepted. However, if your submission is accepted elsewhere first, please notify us immediately.

Previously published material is accepted if you have retained your rights or have written permission from the previous publisher.

  • You are under no obligation to purchase any books. If your work is selected, you will receive one free copy as compensation. You will retain all rights to your work, but you will need to sign a release for publication.
